The day before the Event, Foto Expo #1

There is just something about the day before the event. I always get this feeling like before the first date. You put lots of affords to prepare yourself and to make all circumstances right. When everything is done you are just thinking: “Is she gonna like me?”, “Am I gonna like her?”. With event management it’s pretty same.

Last day is usually, if you are lucky enough and everything went right, only about double checking all preparations, packing all the stuff for the event and thinking about what could go wrong. Sometimes you have to solve some serious complications, but they usually shove up right after the start of the event, not the day before.

I got these feelings today, because tomorrow our festival Foto Expo is about to happen. We had to discuss rather philosophical scenarios of tomorrow’s event development, relocate our stuff to the event’s venue, double check technical scenarios of presentations and couple other things.

After that it’s just about that half looking forward, half hesitating feeling. I am starting at 6 a.m. with the technical installation at the venue. Presentations start at 10 a.m. and I just hope, that I’ve put my trust into correct people and I did cover every possible angle. Wish me luck. Hopefully I won’t need it.

See you after the event,

Frank Hamrozi
